- This TCL Roku TV has 802.11ac 2x2 Dual Band, with support for 2.4GHz and 5GHz. All TCL Roku TVs are designed for in-home use in the USA and Canada. This TCL Roku TV runs off of 120V/60Hz. The new TCL Roku TV version offers the same great performance and features as 2017 versions. The new models offer a refreshed bezel and stand design, but features and capabilities are identical. Additionally, as you mentioned this is one of the 1080p models similar to the 1080p version of 2017. It comes with the link to netflix, hulu, vudu, and amazon. plus you can program others. You have to have a subscription to use them though. You would need to pay any applicable subscription fees to Netflix, Hulu, etc. This TCL Roku TV uses a 100mm x 100mm VESA mounting pattern and M6 screws. All TCL Roku TVs support screen mirroring with any compatible windows or android device. This TCL Roku TV does not currently feature a web browser. However, there are thousands of streaming channels and over 500,000 different movies and TV episodes available through the Roku streaming system.

My first surprise was how little the set weighed. Assembly was as simple as four Philips head screws for the stand feet below the set, plugging in, and completing the Roku onscreen setup. The Picture quality is crisp and vibrant. Playing video games is incredibly easy, and the display connected to my PC without any hiccups. I blew the first three hours just watching BSG clips in glorious HD. You do have to download the free youtube app, as the preloaded youtube app is for the pay TV service.
The build quality feels solid, but I have a minor defect inside the LCD panel that I've decided to look past like a flaw in a Persian rug. Sound quality isn't the best, you get two speakers mounted below the display panel, and they're not the most powerful. However, plugging in external speakers is extremely easy. As this is a smart TV, Wifi is of course, built in, and performs well. I'd never heard of TCL before deciding to purchase a new TV, but a guide website recommended TCL Roku TV as a best value at price point.
If not for the minor screen defect, I'd probably have ignored the sound quality of TCL Roku TV.
